When I was watching SNS, I saw an advertisement for a digital marketing seminar.
The advertisement emphasized the wording "practical."
At that time, I suddenly thought about what is practical knowledge, and what is not.
In addition to seminars, the word practical knowledge is often used everywhere, such as in books and on TV.
I recognize that practical knowledge refers to "anyone who can do it, and which has a high probability of achieving an effect." This would point to the antonym "theoretical", that is, it is theoretically so, but difficult in practice, and not a personal one that only applies to a special person.
During the above, I remembered a conversation with the person who have made results in a certain area. It's a conversation when I ask some tips about business.
At that time, he shared "practical knowledge" one after another.
Because he was smart, he didn't have an acrobatic language that would make him look bigger on the contrary to the words which TechCrunch uses, but he taught a lot of very basic things. In fact, it's all I could have done right now then.
However, what I felt at the time was how “practical” the knowledge was “basic”.
Certainly, I didn't think of anything and couldn't come up with it by myself naturally, but if I looked up a bit, I should have assembled it logically and I could have reached to the conclusion.
Of course, I didn't make him ridiculous, but I realized how important it was to assemble a basic measure that could produce results and get it done. Conversely, it's almost always not done by many people.
Thinking about that, if you want to know practical knowledge, rather than really want to know practical knowledge itself, you may just want to listen to something by the person who have good records in some area.
Because, again, practical knowledge is ultimately derived from basic knowledge. Probably, those who are attracted to practical knowledge, after acquiring basic knowledge, recognize that there is a special layer of practical knowledge that is far from the layer of basic knowledge. Needless to say, there is never that kind of layer.
(Although it's a barbarian, we don't cover scholarly esoteric knowledge here; they're technical, so to speak, neither of the above layers.)
In the end, it’s meaningless unless you make your idea by yourself, considering the situation at the time. There’s is no universal “practical” knowledge.
In conclusion, it's an ordinary way of saying, but there isn't much value in asking for practical knowledge. It is important to apply basic knowledge to real situations.
