Do not think simply

When you are worried about something or are working on an idea, your acquaintance will advise you: "Think simply."

Every time I hear these statements, I feel strange.

I don't think the opinion of the person making this advice is wrong. I have heard that various people, from the so-called successful people to those who somehow stumbled over somewhere, ,use this wording, so it seems that the users themselves have no universality.

However, I'm still somewhat skeptical about "think simple".

Probably, in many cases, "think simple" seems to be, or often is, interpreted as "think short". Needless to say, it is not simple = short circuit.Simplicity is probably the closest expression of leanness, but it will still be interpreted in any way as if it were a short circuit.

I don't want to chop logic here.Probably, I think that the difference in my assumptions creates such a discrepancy in perception.

What is it? In other words, I have the idea that the world is more complicated than I envision.

I know that in the world, various elements are intertwined in a complex way, and no matter how much you measure, there is a huge part that can not be measured, and each intertwined element affects each other I think

Let's express it from a different perspective.
Suppose a person advised you to think simple.Even if there are people who show off clear and innovative ideas, that seemingly pass through the logic and that they are actually producing results, and the ideas themselves are very suggestive,it seems to me that there is nothing to do with thinking simply.

I don't want to say that action is more meaningful than an idea, but that thinking simply is probably not contributing to the result.

Also, no matter how simple a successful person thinks, it is simply a way of communicating a complex empirical theory in a clearly understandable way.

I want to move on to the case of using the word “think simple”, which I thought of.

For example, suppose a successful entrepreneur preached his or her own truth to the masses, "Think simple. Business is ~."

Aside from arguing whether it's really true or not, people who hear it think it's important to think simple. In addition, a bunch of media have said, "Mr.A says, it is important to think simple!",pushing down modern young entrepreneurs, and there are in book stores lined with books titled "Let's think simple." (By the way,it does not refer to a specific book here.)

You might have experienced this.

While successful people are not always right, they take risks that ordinary people did not take and only convey the so-called consequential truths that they gained from facing various crises. No matter how much you try to masticate that idea, you can't catch up, and you can't copy their process.Even if we think it was simple, it must be extremely short-circuited idea.

From the point of view, if you succeed, you probably won't be able to confront it with simple thoughts in the face of unknown situations. You'll have to make decisions as you've done so far, thinking intricately while holding your head.

Similarly, what we should do is not to read "think simple" books, but to be as complicated as possible, taking into account various factors.
