Double check

I try to get others to check as much as possible after I have checked some important documents.

It doesn't feel very good to have people point out things to me, but I think it's essential to ensure the quaily of my outputs. The purpose of double-checking is to get them to point out points that are hard to notice by myself.

You should be mindful of not making mistakes, and of course, you have to check them by yourself, but even if you check a few times, there is a threshold or something like that, so I think the smoothest thing to do is to have someone else take a look at it and point it out.
One of my acquaintances who used to work at a bank told me that it was a rule to ask someone close by to double-check an email when sending it to the outside company.

Well, there are probably two patterns of purpose for checking, either from others or from your own checking others. There are two types of correction: correction of sentences and phrases, and correction of content such as supplementary knowledge and supervision. The former is easy to fix if you ask someone to look at it because people have their own quirks, while the latter needs to be done by someone who is better than you in the area of the content of the text. Either way, it's useful to check on others.

On a different note, I recently went to get my hair cut. At the time, I was invited to have my hair cut by an inexperienced hairdresser for free, so I gave it a try.
As a result, there was no particular problem with the finish, but after the cut was done, the person who was like the boss of the person checked the quality of cut and corrected the cut in a few places.
Originally, I wasn't unhappy with the finish, but as it turns out, it was certainly a better finish after the correction.

I thought double-checking would be beneficial here, too, but I noticed one more thing. That's because I had my hair cut by the boss once too, and I don't remember feeling that it was particularly good at the time. (On the contrary, I didn't have any problems.)

In other words, it turns out that no matter which one cuts, the perfection can be improved by having another person check on it later. Naturally, the first person to make the base is the one who did the work, so there will be some difference in the room for correction (ease of correction). But there's a good chance the accuracy will increase with more eyes in it.
It's very embarrassing to have your inexperience exposed by double-checking, and it's best not to make a mistake. However, there are always going to be points you don't notice, and just because you made a mistake doesn't necessarily mean you're not competent. I think it is a good idea to divide the points made by others through double-checking as a necessary process to improve the level of refinement.
